One Laptop Per Child Partners with Microsoft

The struggling One Laptop Per Child Project has signed a deal with Microsoft to use Windows on its machines in an effort to stage a turnaround. The agreement has sparked outrage among some of the project's founding members. OLPC founder Nicholas Negroponte says, "Our mission is not open source. Our mission is children and learning."
